ABOUT SCOTCH HILL TRUFFLE FARM
Scotch Hill Truffle Farm is located in the rolling hills of West Gippsland, Victoria, just one hour from Melbourne. We grow premium French black winter truffles (Tuber melanosporum), harvested fresh during the Australian truffle season. Our recipes are inspired by the truffles we grow and are designed to help you enjoy fresh black truffles at home. Ingredients
- 250 grams Salted Butter
- 10-15 grams Fresh Truffle
Instructions
- 1. Soften the Butter 250 grams Salted Butter: Let the butter come to room temperature for easy mixing.2. Grate or finely chop the truffle 10-15 grams Fresh Truffle: 3. Incorporate the Truffle: fold the fresh truffle into the butter using a spatula, fork or electric mixer.4. Shape and Chill: spoon the mixture onto parchment, shape into a log and twist the ends to seal. alternately use cling wrap. 5. Refrigerate or Freeze: Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer life and use as required.Serving Ideas: Use your homemade truffle butter to: melt over steak or chicken, stir into mashed potatoes, melt over roasted vegetables, finish off grilled mushrooms or potato, toss through pasta or spread onto warm toast or baguette slices
