What Began as a small tree growing project in West Gippsland, soon led to an international partnership when a Chinese company found us through a Google Search. Impressed by the expertise of Michelle and Ron, they invited us to share our knowledge and Know-how, helping to establish large scale tree farms across China – a collaboration that continues today and has since evolved into high-tech indoor farming, with the first commercial facility recently commissioned.
Back home at Scotch Hill Truffle Farm, we’ve turned that same spirit of curiosity toward the soil beneath our oak trees, cultivating Australian black truffles in the cool climate of Baw Baw country. Set amid West Gippsland’s rolling hills with panoramic views to Mount Baw Baw, just 90 minutes from Melbourne, our farm is now celebrated as Australia’s most beautiful truffle destination — a place where discovery, innovation, and flavour meet.
